Les Dyne / superoxide dismutase
Hello Cate and thanks for the questions. Just to be clear, we make no therapeutic claims with regard to green barley powder.
At the time of his cancer, Les Dyne says he consumed more than twelve teaspoons of barley green juice powder per day.
The makers of popular green barley juice type powders claim Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) levels of between 1000-1400U/g. Our whole leaf green barley powder has been shown to contain around 1700U/g.

gb and cancer treatment
Hi Darren, I have read that the founder of S.A.F.E. Les Dyne, cured himself of cancer taking green barley available only from Japan as Barley juice at that time. I would like to know in what doses was the juice taken and what would equal the powder doses. Is it true that the juice contains more SOD per mg than the powder? Thanks, Cate

Fibre
Thanks for the question Richard. Being a true organic wholefood, SAFE's green barley naturally contains both soluble and insoluble fibre. The soluble fibre component contains valuable nutrients which are absorbed during digestion. The non-soluble fibre is not absorbed, however it has very beneficial effects on the digestive system, including cleansing properties. Those with digestive problems should consult with a medical practitioner.

Much has been made of the these two sorts of fiber. As both types of fiber are found in your Green Barley product, could you tell me exactly what these two fibers do? I mean, I heard some people might have digestive problems when taking fiberrich foods, be it soluble or insoluble. Does insoluble mean it doesn't assimilate further into our tissues and then, won't it start to irritate our bowels? Just interested and, though having read a lot of information about it, I still don't really get the full story. Im Continued here!

I have been using your green barley products for about a year now. However, I have been diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) a few months ago, main problem gas and constipation, and I was wondering if this could be caused by too much fibre intake as in the barley product. I usually drink 5 to 6 glasses of your product a day. Would your Herbal Fibre Product be helpful. Or the Magnesium Oxide? Apart from the IBS, I am perfectly healthy. Any suggestion are highly welcomed!

Squalene
Sharks are endangered species and need our protection - the practice of obtaining squalene from shark livers is to be deplored. 3 sharks a second are killed by man, and populations are plummeting and it is estimated that in 20y time many shark species will be extinct. I would urge you to reconsider selling/buying this product - as an alternative, hens' eggs contain squalene and hens are by no means nearing extinction.

I suggest that you talk with your doctor about various options, including herbal supplements. There are a some herbs that are used very effectively in the treatment of conditions such as yours. nervous exhaustion
Hello. Following a case of flu I believe I am suffering from a case of nervous exhaustion. I have very very little energy, weep easily, can only do a small amount of work, cannot go out and walk or anything like that. I am taking St. John's wort and it has lifted my mood some, but am not making any other progress. Please tell me if you can help me in any substantive way. I am desparate for some real help. Good question, Karen. I do not have any quantitative data on this, but I would think that this would certainly be a better option than the commercially produced grass juice extracts. These products are usually highly processed with many additives and fillers.

Hi Barrie. Because SAFE's green foods are pure, organic wholefoods, it is quite ok to take large amounts. The average user takes 2-4 teaspoons per day, however some people can benefit from taking up to 8 or even 10 teaspoons per day.

Sarcoidosis (lung disease)
Hello,
I've just been diagnosed with Sarcoidosis,
I been put on 40mg of Prednisone to reduce a large node that's blocking my airway, into my lung, which was causing me to have excess coughing and shortness of breath. The plan is to gradually reduce down, and stop within a few months.

Results
I am seriously considering marketing your green barley etc if the results I have been getting keep on keeping on. I began taking Glyco Power about a month ago and more recently started with barleygreen alfalfa powder and citramin and only today noticed quite a reasonable drop in my blood sugar reading. Although I am not on insulin I cannot recall my fasting reading first thing in morning to be as low as 3.9. This is really quite good as it should be between 3 and 5 and is usually above 5 or 6 so as you can Continued here!
